So, what is a "dhimmi"?

Ever heard of the Mafia running "protection rackets"? If the local baker, or grocer, or florist or barber pays the mob a certain percentage of their revenue, the Mafia will "make sure nuttin' happens" to their property, thus offering "protection." Of course, what that payment "protected" them from was the Mafia they were paying to "protect" them. See also extortion.

That's what "dhimmitude" is. You pay the local mosque a certain amount of money, they'll make sure "nuttin' happens" to you. Of course, if you don't, then "sumtin' might happen." And guess who would "make it happen." That is the type of government that people like Nancy Pelosi, Jimmy Carter, Harry Reid, and the left-wing media in this country want us to live under.

That's P.U., as in Pace University. Come to find out, the higher ups at this ivory tower institution have a history of pandering to Muslims. Now, back to the paperback Koran and its unfortunate swim in a toilet bowl. Is this really a hate crime? No one was physically hurt. The damage to the Koran was minimal. The Koran in question was a paperback copy – not a priceless religious document. There was no personal target of the demonstration – the target was a paperback book. This was a constitutionally protected act of free speech, regardless of what New York’s hate crime bill states, the same way dropping a crucifix in a jar of urine was protected speech. I suspect that eventually the law will be decided unconstitutional, and Shmulevich will be punished only for simple vandalism.

PC liberals kowtow to anything Muslim because they are both scared of Muslim groups like CAIR (which has pushed the legal troubles against Shmulevich) and they suffer from white guilt – they must do what they can to give minority groups more power because their ancestors were bigots. Unfortunately, people like Shmulevich get thrown under the bus for acting out against something the PC liberals seek to protect.

“What (school officials) [at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA] are doing … is to give Muslim students religious benefits that they do not give any other religion right now,” says Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel at the Thomas More Law Center, an advocacy group for Christians.

Advocates say the accommodations are legal.

“The whole issue is to provide for a religious foundation for those who are observant while respecting separation of church and state [notice he says, 'CHURCH and state', not 'MOSQUE and state'],” says Salam Al-Marayati, executive director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, based in Los Angeles. Many schools accommodate the Christian and Jewish sabbaths and allow Jewish students to not take tests on religious holidays, he says [um, yeah. Schools close on the weekend. Besides, it's not as though pushing a test back a day imposes on everybody else.].

Barry Lynn, of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, says however that the law is murky on these expressions of faith. And the American Civil Liberties Union says overt religious symbols like crucifixes are not legal, but whether Muslim foot baths and prayer rugs fall into that category is not clear [In other words, they haven't quite figured out how to reconcile their hypocrisy and dhimmitude.].

The University of Michigan agreed to install foot baths after talks with the MSA, said Terry Gallagher, director of public relations at the campus. Some Muslims ritually wash their feet before praying five times a day.

Daniel Pipes, founder of the Middle East Forum, a conservative think tank, sees the requests as part of a movement to force the public to acquiesce to Islamic law.

“The goal of Islamists is the application of Islamic law,” Pipes says.

In the San Diego case, a substitute teacher at Carver Elementary School alleged that teachers were indoctrinating students into Islam. The San Diego Unified School District determined that a teacher’s aide was wrong to lead Muslim students in prayer. Carver still has a special recess to allow 100 Muslim students to pray.

The ACLU, which has often sued schools for permitting prayer, says it is waiting to see what kind of policy the school settles on before deciding whether to sue. It says promoting prayers is unconstitutional.

“If you start carving out time in the school day that you would not do but for the need to let students pray, then it begins to look like what you’re trying to do is to assist religion,” says David Blair-Loy, legal director for the ACLU in San Diego.

Democrats: leading us into oblivion (part 2)

The Democrap Party wants to do everything they can to prevent you from reporting suspicious behavior. That is why they are trying to kill the "John Doe" provision in the Rail and Public Transportation Security Act of 2007:

The fate of "John Doe" now falls to the conference committee, headed by Senator Joe Lieberman, who supports the provision, and Rep. Bennie Thompson, who opposes it. This week the committee is expected to release the final version of the homeland security bill, implementing the remaining recommendations of the 9/11 Commission. Leading Democrats -- including Senate Judiciary Chairman [Pat "Leaky"] Leahy, Majority Leader Harry Reid, and House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers -- continue to work behind the scenes to scuttle the immunity clause, throwing up procedural obstacles and insisting that other committees must have a say.

New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority said last week that the subway tipline had received 1,944 reports in 2006. We'll never know precisely how many terrorist acts may have been prevented because of those workaday whistleblowers. But as the Fort Dix plot -- uncovered by a retail clerk -- proves, vigilance works.

That's right, friends! The same Democrap Party that wants you to trust them to keep us safe doesn't want your help in keeping us safe. "Waaah!! It will lead to profiling!! Waaahh!!" Yes, it will lead to profiling. People will be able to build a profile of what suspicious behavior looks like, and thus help to prevent another attack.

There is good news, however. The "John Doe" provision might not be as dead as was believed (via Michelle Malkin):

Public pressure is mounting on Capitol Hill Democrats to include the "John Doe" provision into a written conference report of the final 911 Commission bill.

The provision would protect the public for reporting suspicious behavior that may be terrorist connected, and is the result of a current lawsuit against U.S. Airways and John Doe passengers filed by a group of imams who were kicked off a flight [after acting like terrorists].

"Democrats have been backed into a corner by public outrage over their efforts, so we are seeing these Democrats publicly say they support it in principle, but behind the scenes they are working to kill it," said one Republican leadership aide close to the conference process.

"There are powerful Democrats in the House and Senate trying to kill this provision, the aide said.

"Keeping the pressure on" to include the provision are Sen. Joe Lieberman, Connecticut Independent and chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, the committee's ranking member, Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine whose efforts last week fell three votes short of passing the provision to an education bill, and Rep. Pete King, New York Republican and ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee and an author of the provision.

Democrats are trying to pull a provision from a homeland security bill that will protect the public from being sued for reporting suspicious behavior that may lead to a terrorist attack, according to House Republican leadership aides.

The legislation, which moves to a House and Senate conference committee this afternoon, will implement final recommendations from the 911 Commission.

Rep. Pete King, New York Republican and ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee, and Rep. Steve Pearce, New Mexico Republican, sponsored the bill after a group of Muslim imams filed a lawsuit against U.S. Airways and unknown or “John Doe” passengers after they were removed for suspicious behavior aboard Flight 300 from Minneapolis to Phoenix on Nov. 20 before their removal.

Oh my gosh!! This might lead to...profiling!!! Ummm, yeah. That's the point. We should be profiling people who act suspiciously, who inadvertantly (**wink wink**) leave baggagge laying around in an airport, or who chant stuff like, "Praise Osama bin Laden!!" Folks....these people SHOULD BE PROFILED!!! Their activity SHOULD BE REPORTED, and those doing the reporting SHOULD BE PROTECTED FROM LAWSUITS!!

All the Dhimmicrat party wants to do is make it easier for their pals in the jihad to carry out their attacks on us, so that they can "come to our rescue", or some other such nonsense. No wonder Congress' popularity is in the toilet (worse than even the "Worst President Ever"!!) But, hey, we should trust them to defend this country.

Apparently, the New York Slimes (motto: "We heart traitors!!") and The Whackington Post (motto: "We heart terrorists!!") have given ink to the whack-job leader of Hamas, which, coincidentally, just happens to be a terrorist organization. But you must understand the need to sit down, with tea and a plate of warm bran muffins, and just talk and get to know these people who want to destroy us and convert us to Islam.

The July 2, 1942 headline "700,000 Victims," was posted Page Six detailing the murder over a half million Jews, including in mobile gas ovens. Page One was reserved for New York Governor Herbert Lehman's donation of his tennis shoes to the war effort. When on December 18, 1942, the NYT finally front-paged, a story on Hitler's Final Solution, entitled, "11 Allies Condemn Nazi War on Jews", The Washington Post printed the same story on Page Four, while The Los Angeles Times placed it on Page Ten.

As for the Soviet Union, Walter Durant, the New York Times longtime Moscow Bureau Chief, won a Pulitzer Prize for stories that effectively buried Ukraine's invisible victims under an avalanche of praise for Stalin's deadly policies.

And let us not forget that, like Hamas, Hitler also sought election through the democratic process. But once he took power he made it clear, just like Hamas, that his god was the bullet, not the ballot.

Dictionary of Liberalism

The sleeves, the length of it, always felt foreign, at first. But it never took long to work its alchemy, to plant the insecurity. But does anybody with a brain really think he knows what he's talking about?

Listen Keith, just because these terrorists aren't too bright, doesn't mean that their hatred for America is any less than, say, yours, or Cindy Sheehan's. And I know you may not think your ever-intuitive mind needs help, but Dennis Milligan was NOT saying he was hoping for an attack. It's kinda like saying "All we need is for someone to get killed at that intersection. Then the city will see we need to put up a red light."

This used to be called "treason"

And the perpetrators and thier accomplices were summarily punished in a way that befits traitors. But now, it's called "journalism". Angelina Jolie just absolutely gushed about what difficult job journalists have (The linked article doesn't do the gushing justice). Yeah, whatever. All they do these days is slink around in dark alleys, conspiring with people who want to kill us, and pass along to them secrets about how we are trying to fight them. Like this (via Hot Air):

"One way to sabotage a program is to make minor modifications in some of the components Iran obtains on the black market, and because it's a black market … you don't know exactly who you are dealing with," Fitzpatrick says.

Isn't there some law that talks about "giving aid to the enemy"?And if I'm not mistaken, when a president takes an oath of office, he swears to fight "enemies, both foreign and domestic". I think that ought to start with the traitors at CNN, ABC, They New York Slimes, and SeeBS. Throw a few of those clowns in jail, and see how much longer they coddle the enemy.

Jimmy the Dhimmi

You know, for someone who was an utter failure as a president, Jimmy (Rhymes with "dhimmi", see definition at right) Carter has a lot of gall calling any president "the worst" (via Right Wing News):

"Former President Carter says President Bush's administration is "the worst in history" in international relations, taking aim at the White House's policy of pre-emptive war and its Middle East diplomacy.

The criticism from Carter, which a biographer says is unprecedented for the 39th president, also took aim at Bush's environmental policies and the administration's "quite disturbing" faith-based initiative funding.

This was a guy who let the military crumble as the Soviets built up. He allowed unemployment to skyrocket, and wages to go throught he floor. Even as a kid (between the ages of 9 and 13, when Carter was in office), I knew he had to go.

But, over the last few years, Jimmy The Dhimmi has just gone around the bend, and is fixin' to slam headlong into complete lunacy. He is calling Paletinians "victims", he is, in not so many words, advocating the destruction of Israel, and is showing the whole world that he is a pawn of Islamofascists. Perhaps this is why Scrappleface has quoted President Bush as calling Carter the "best former president" this country has had.

Separation of mosque and state!!

Don't think that some local and state governments in this country are beginning to kowtow to Islamofascists? Think again. It's already starting at Minneapolis Community and Technical College (via The Red Voice):

Among the suggestions of the "Final Report of the Task Force on Needs of Muslim Students":

1)"Criticizes Canada's loan-based system of financing higher education and calls for outright grants to students. "Education related government loans should not accumulate interest," it says, since Islam "opposes usury and involvement with interest-bearing loans."

2)"The report endorses "women-only" time at athletic facilities, and urges colleges to "provide curtains or screens over the observation windows" when women are using the pool." SUBJUGATE THY WOMEN!!!!

3)"Muslim-only prayer space,"multiple prayer spaces" with "easy access" from all over campus. All new building plans should include prayer space and ritual washing facilities if necessary, it adds."

4)"Food service workers must learn to prepare halal food, which is ritually slaughtered and otherwise permissible under Sharia law. After preparing non-halal food, staff must "change sanitary gloves and wash cutlery and surfaces" to avoid contaminating halal food."

5)"If a campus fails to make these changes, and others like them?" "The report outlines a comprehensive system "to encourage and facilitate a culture of reporting Islamophobia on campus. Anti-discrimination officers should be notified whenever such a comment is made, it says." ANTI-DISCRIMINATION OFFICERS??????

6)"Faculty, staff, students and administrators must all learn "the tenets of Islam," it said. "Education modules" for professors should incorporate a focus on "Islam and Islamophobia," while student activities could range from courses on themes of the Qur'an and the Islamic world today to "socials, programs and other initiatives" to teach about Islam. Everyone on campus should learn to recognize his or her "collective responsibility to identify and stop Islamophobia."

OK, if that's the case, then they should also make sure that the staff are trained in preparing Kosher food for Jewish students. And why not have a chapel for Christians? And classes on Christianity, the Bible, and Christophobia? Where's the ACLU now? Why aren't they screaming blue murder to have this college stop these practises?

I'll tell you why. Because they're all on the same side.
