Lying liars and the lies they tell

Like a moth to the flame, Bill Clinton is absolutely hypnotized by the thought of telling a whopper of a tale, knowing that the KosKids will drink down the Kool-Aid like water (From Pravda the Washington Post):
Bill Clinton has many of the facts wrong.

His wife didn't make the sniper fire claim "one time late at night when she was exhausted." She actually told the story several times, including during prepared remarks on foreign policy delivered the morning of March 17.

It's also not true that she "immediately apologized for it." Clinton has never apologized and only acknowledged that she "misspoke" a week after the March 17 speech, after the video of her peaceful tarmac reception emerged.

It's also not true that she was the "first first lady since Eleanor Roosevelt to go into a combat zone" _ a claim that Hillary Clinton has also made when talking about the trip. Pat Nixon traveled to Saigon during the Vietnam war and Barbara Bush went to Saudi Arabia two months before the launching of Desert Storm.

OK, and we're supposed to believe this guy who lied his way to the presidency, lied while in the Oval Office, lied under oath to Congress. And there was ¿Hillary? right by his side, standing by her man, but too busy to bake cookies. Of course, when you're a lifelong Cubs Yankees Mets baseball fan, it's easy to forget what you said yesterday.

¿Hillary? becomes infected with Eggo-losis

Waffle-osis (Kerry-Heinz Syndrome) is a very common disorder among Democratic presidential candidates--in fact, this site first reported the condition here. However, based on the findings of experts who have been tracking ¿Hillary? Clinton, her condition has worsened, and has morphed into full-fledged Eggo-losis.

Nathan Bradfield has filed this report over at Church and State Blog:
She must have caught it from Kerry and developed a more serious case of it. Lots and lots and lots and lots of buzz on Hillary all of sudden deciding she is against licenses for illegals.

Captain Ed says it well:

It's Wednesday, So We Must Have A New Position
First she sounded sympathetic to the idea during a televised debate, and within moments had refused to endorse it. Afterwards, she changed her mind and endorsed it. Now today, after Governor Eliot Spitzer shelved a plan to issue New York drivers licenses to illegal aliens, Hillary Clinton shifted her position yet again to oppose the idea entirely.People laughed at John Kerry for saying, "I was for the $87 billion before I was against it." He looks like the Rock of Gibraltar next to Hillary Clinton. She has now taken four different positions in two weeks on a single topic.

Uhh, Keith, take your meds, dude

Come on the risin' wind,
We're goin' up around the bend!!
--Creedence Clearwater Revival

Well, Keith "If somebody doesn't watch my show, then I'm going home!!" Olbermann isn't just going around the bend. He's done gone around it, and he's-a heading downhill...fast (via Newsbusters):
OLBERMANN, AT 8:29 PM: Since last August, there had been a period of calm, the screaming, hair-on-fire pronouncements about terror plots, that may have had real plotters but no real conceivable chance of actually happening, had ceased. That period spanned between the 2006 midterm elections and the week we reached exactly 18 months until the 2008 presidential election -- just a coincidence. Our third story in the Countdown, from the mindbending idea that four guys dressed as pizza delivery men were going to outgun all the soldiers at Fort Dix, to the not-too-thought-out plan to blow up JFK Airport by lighting a match 40 miles away, here we go again. Time for an update of our segment, the "Nexus of Politics and Terror," instances now 13 in number when those two worlds have overlapped and we are reminded by our government, with or without justification, that we should always fear "fear itself." We offer two prefaces tonight. One, the words of Dennis Milligan, the new state chairman of the Republican Party in Arkansas, who says about Iraq to the newspaper the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, quote, "At the end of the day, I believe fully the President is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on [September 11, 2001], and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush, but the sacrifice that has been made by men and women to protect this country."
Does anybody really take this guy seriously? I mean, I know that there are probably a few dozen people that actually watch his show. And the rest of his "audience" is made up of stoner college kids working at Wal-Mart that turn all the TV's in the electronic secion to PMSNBC to try and bump up his ratings. But does anybody with a brain really think he knows what he's talking about?

Listen Keith, just because these terrorists aren't too bright, doesn't mean that their hatred for America is any less than, say, yours, or Cindy Sheehan's. And I know you may not think your ever-intuitive mind needs help, but Dennis Milligan was NOT saying he was hoping for an attack. It's kinda like saying "All we need is for someone to get killed at that intersection. Then the city will see we need to put up a red light."

Now go and take your meds like a good boy.

"Cold Cash" Jefferson indicted

From Stop the ACLU comes the story that we have been waiting for, and that Queen Nan from SanFran has been waiting...to cover up. Yep, she and Dingy Harry and Schmuck Chumer and all their buddies are going to deal with corrpution forcefully! They're going to get rid of the "culture of corruption", by gum! Or, maybe not.
Rep. William Jefferson, D-La., was indicted Monday on federal charges of racketeering, soliciting bribes and money-laundering in a long- running bribery investigation into business deals he tried to broker in Africa. The indictment handed up in federal court in Alexandria., Va., Monday is more than an inch thick and list 16 alleged violations of federal law that could keep Jefferson in prison for up to 200 years.
Here we go, folks! second verse (actually, I think we're up to, like, verse 10 or something), same as the first:
THIS WILL BE THE MOST ETHICAL CONGRESS EVER!!
Sure thing, Queen Nan. So, when ya gonna whip out that royal scepter and drum ol' Willy C-Note out of your "most ethical congress ever"?? Eh, you're probably right. I doubt she will either. But, that's what the American voters get for believing that Democrats would want to have anything to do with ethics. Oh, by the way...

"Most ethical congress ever"--Google it.

More from "The Most Ethical Congress...EVER!!!"

Hard to believe Pravda CNN turning on their own. But they did, and showed an expose' on Congress' wasteful spending (via Hot Air).

I'm confused. Wasn't Queen Nancy going to reign in spending? wasn't she going to take her royal scepter and smash through all the pork?

Nah, I didn't think so either. You've got to watch the video. I love how Robert "Grand Dragon of the KKK" Byrd says that if earmarks were made public, tehre would be more of them. But, that's a glimpse inside the mind of a liberal.

Today's episode is brought to you...

by the letter "D". That stands for "dishonest", "distatseful", and "Democrats". And the drumbeat continues. The question again, in case you missed it any of the other times I asked it: Isn't this supposed to be "The Most Ethical Congress Ever"? Weren't Queen Nan and Dingy Harry going to clean up Washington, and reign in the whole "Culture of Corruption" thingy? Eh, not so much. From Robert Novak's Town Hall column:
WASHINGTON -- Democrats controlling the House of Representatives demonstrated this month the hollowness of their claim that they have ended the corruption of 12 Republican years. Rep. John Murtha quietly slipped into the Intelligence authorization bill two earmarks costing taxpayers $5.5 million. The beneficiary was a contractor headquartered in Murtha's hometown of Johnstown, Pa., whose executives have been generous political contributors to the powerful 17-term congressman.

This scandalous conduct would be unknown except for reforms by the new Democratic majority. But the remodeled system is not sufficiently transparent to expose in a timely manner machinations of Murtha and fellow earmarkers to his colleagues, much less to the public. It took Republican Rep. Jeff Flake of Arizona, the leading House earmark-buster, to discover the truth.

[...]

Nor do Democrats show interest in curbing earmarks. Rep. Silvestre Reyes of Texas, Pelosi's hand-picked Intelligence Committee chairman, blamed non-disclosure of earmarks on a mistake by the Government Printing Office. House Appropriations Committee Chairman David Obey first skirted the new rules by claiming no earmarks were contained in the supplemental appropriations. Last week, he decreed that henceforth, earmarks in his bills would not be revealed until a measure passes both the House and Senate. The test for Democrats is what they will do about Murtha now that it is known he rewards contributors with federal funds.
No, don't you understand, it's the REPUBLICANS that are the bad people!! The Democrats only use your money for good things! Hey, are you questioning the Democrats' patriotism?

Is there funny stuff going on on both sides of the aisle? Yes. Is it ever going to end? Who knows. But this country got bamboozled by Queen Nan from SanFran and the rest of her liberal cronies, and we're paying for it.

Ms. Plame couldn't have lied, could she?

No, of course not. She was just a pawn, an innocent victim of the Rove-Bushco-Halliburton machine. Or, not (via Iowa Voice):
The lovely Mrs Wilson testified on Capitol Hill a couple of months ago, once again capturing the hearts of our friends on the left, who are, as always, seeking ammunition to use against President Bush. Trouble is, the Intelligence Committee Vice-Chairman, Senator Christopher Bond (R-MO), did his homework (or at least his staff did!), and it turns out that Mrs Wilson lied under oath. In Fact-Checking Valerie Plame Wilson, Pt. 1, National Review’s Byron York documents Senator Bond’s report. In her recent testimony, Mrs Wilson flatly either recommending or suggesting that her husband be sent to Niger for his famous fact-finding mission. Mrs Wilson continued that her “quick e-mail” of February 12, 2002, was taken out of context, to “make it seem as though I had suggested or recommended him.”

Senator Bond published the entire February 12, 2002 memo by Mrs Wilson:

The report forwarded below has prompted me to send this on to you and request your comments and opinion. Briefly, it seems that Niger has signed a contract with Iraq to sell them uranium. The IC [Intelligence Community] is getting spun up about this for obvious reasons. The embassy in Niamey has taken the position that this report can’t be true — they have such cozy relations with the GON [Government of Niger] that they would know if something like this transpired.

So where do I fit in? As you may recall, [redacted] of CP/[office 2] recently approached my husband to possibly use his contacts in Niger to investigate [a separate Niger matter]. After many fits and starts, [redacted] finally advised that the station wished to pursue this with liaison. My husband is willing to help, if it makes sense, but no problem if not. End of story.

Now, with this report, it is clear that the IC is still wondering what is going on… my husband has good relations with both the PM and the former minister of mines, not to mention lots of French contacts, both of whom could possibly shed light on this sort of activity. To be frank with you, I was somewhat embarrassed by the agency’s sloppy work last go-round, and I am hesitant to suggest anything again. However, [my husband] may be in a position to assist. Therefore, request your thoughts on what, if anything, to pursue here. Thank you for your time on this.
Let's see. Scooter Libby got how long for having a bad memory? How long of a sentence do you think the liberal left will recommend Ms. Plame-Wilson receive? Yeah, I thought so too.

Na-na-na-na. Hey hey hey! GOODBYE!!!

Cindy Sheehan, the patron saint of the anti-American left, has announced that she is retiring from her career of pandering to homocidal dictators and leeching off of the memory of her dead son (via SeeBS News):
"I am going to take whatever I have left and go home. I am going to go home and be a mother to my surviving children and try to regain some of what I have lost," Sheehan said.

"I am getting out before it totally consumes me or anymore people that I love and the rest of my resources," she said.

In announcing her decision in a statement released to the liberal blog Daily Kos, Sheehan said the protest had taken an enormous physical and emotional toll on her.

Sheehan said she had sacrificed a 29-year marriage and endured threats to put all her energy into cashing in on the memory of her dead son to travel around the world and hobnob with murderous dictators stopping the war.
Well boo-flippin'-hoo. I guess she finally came to the realization that the American public was fed up with her charade, her Anti-American gestures in photo-opping with Hugo Chavez, and her genral obnoxiousness. Bye-bye, Cindy!

Oh, and I love how Mama Sheehan ends her "resignation letter":
This is my resignation letter as the “face” of the American anti-war movement. This is not my “Checkers” moment, because I will never give up trying to help people in the world who are harmed by the empire of the good old US of A, but I am finished working in, or outside of this system. This system forcefully resists being helped and eats up the people who try to help it. I am getting out before it totally consumes me or anymore people that I love and the rest of my resources.

Good-bye America ...you are not the country that I love and I finally realized no matter how much I sacrifice, I can’t make you be that country unless you want it.

It’s up to you now.
Oh no!!! What are we going to do now??? Why, this country has only existed for 200+ years without the sagacious wisdom of Saint Cindy!! we're doomed I say, DOOMED!!!!

Uh, Cindy, we never asked you to open your flap in the first place. We sure ain't gonna miss ya. Now, please, go, and take Alec Baldwin with you.

Queen Nan whips out her royal scepter

What did we hear before the November '06 election? "Most ethical Congress", "work together", blah blah blah. And the American voters ate it up. Well, it's time for the American voters to grab a coffee, rub their bloodshot eyes, and shake off the hangover. Queen Nan fron SanFran ain't that girl that looked so good at closing time (via The Anchoress):

Today, however, Powerline and others tell us that Ms. Pelosi, unhappy that the minority does not simply roll over and play dead as they’re supposed to, wishes to change rules which have been in place since 1822.

You see, when the Democrats were the minority, they believed it was their jobs and their patriotic duties to follow the traditional guidelines written by Thomas Jefferson, as every congress has done, particularly if the rules helped them get heard, forced others to stand behind their votes or even if they simply justified a bit of obstruction. But when those guidelines don’t serve the purpose, or when they force Democrats to leave an inconvenient paper trail that they can’t easily erase

Seems that the Queen's royal court has turned into a royal pain. I'd hate to see her and ¡Hillary locked in a steel cage.
