DENNIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. - A second-grader's artistic effort has got him in trouble. For crying out loud, I would have been expelled--along with the rest of my buddies--for the rest of my life and never allowed within ten miles of a school if these cheeseballs were in charge when I was in 2nd grade! We drew guns, and bombs, and fighter planes, and knives, and arrows, and all kinds of weapons. When was the last time I held someone up at gunpoint. Hmmm, let me think. Oh, yeah. NEVER!
Seven-year-old Kyle Walker was suspended for one day last week by school officials in Cape May County for drawing a stick figure shooting a gun.
His mother told The Press of Atlantic City that officials at Dennis Township Primary School told her the drawing violated a zero-tolerance policy for guns.
Shirley McDevitt said the boy told her the drawing showed a water gun and not a firearm.
School officials declined to comment on Friday, and a message left at the superintendent's office on Saturday was not immediately returned.
The case is not the first in New Jersey in which students were suspended for depictions of weapons.
Four kindergarten boys were suspended in 2000 for playing cops and robbers, even though they were using their fingers as guns.

Democrats: Not getting it since...
OK, here's the deal: an illegal immigrant rounds up a few of his buddies to murder some black kids. Oops, one of them decides not to die, and finers the goon and his buddies. And with the rise in crime among the illegal immigrant population (above and beyond the fact that they are criminals as soon as they step foot in this country), the mayor of Newark, and the governor and AG of New Jersey decide to do something about it by...cracking down on gun owners. No, really (via Jammie Wearing Fool):
Mayor Cory A. Booker, Gov. Jon S. Corzine and Attorney General Anne Milgram were joined today by other mayors and elected officials to announce several legislative and policy measures to fight gun trafficking and gun violence in the City of Newark.Nah, don't worry about all the illegal immigrants you are coddling. Don't bother with the fact that Carranza shouldn't have been in this country in the first place, or that the term "sanctuary city" is code word for, "If you are here illegally, you can do whatever you want in this city, and we won't report you. wink wink nudge nudge."
The four-point plan will be rolled out over the next three months and will allow the city to better police the guns within its borders and recognize the footprints of trafficking trends in the state.

Theguy coward who didn't even have the nerve to look his victims in the face as he killed them execution-style turned himself in to police today (via FOX News):
The Peruvian immigrant - who was already facing trial on charges he sexually attacked a child - didn't open his mouth.
UPDATE: Well, what do you know. Chalk another one up for the open-borders crowd (via FOX5 NYC):
One suspect, Jose Carranza, turned himself in directly to Mayor Cory Booker. He pleaded not guilty. Carranza is a 28 year old illegal immigrant from Peru. Are you listening, Mr. President????? When are you going to wake up and realize that if we give all these people amnesty, it ain't gonna get any better!!!!! These three kids didn't have to die! But they did because of the lack of enforcement, because those who are supposed to represent us keep kowtowing to businesses who want cheap labor, and because we don't want to offennnnd the Mexican government. So these kids, and many other innocent victims, have died and suffered when they didn't need to.
Carranza had been indicted this year on several counts of sexual assault of a child who was in his care. He was free on bail in that case, which is still pending. He is being held on one million dollars bail for the quadruple shooting.

The
NEWARK, N.J. — A suspect in the execution-style killings of three students surrendered Thursday to Newark Mayor Cory Booker less than an hour after the mayor announced a warrant for the man as well as the arrest of a 15-year-old.The 15-year-old is an American citizen. No word yet on whether Carranza is eligible for the "Illegal Immigrant Criminal of the Week" trophy, however.
Jose Carranza, 28, whose fingerprints were lifted from a bottle, turned himself in after three college students were shot dead at close range on Saturday and a fourth was hospitalized. Carranza's attorney called Booker to arrange the surrender.
